Let C. Lee Services go over why trenchless sewer repair services are the ideal choice. Sewer pipe line repair is a big decision. Our plumber in Akron, OH, loves providing someone with all of the available options so that you can make an informed decision. We are going to give you some very pertinent information below so that you can make up your mind on whether or not trenchless pipe repair or traditional pipe repair is the best option for you.
We'd first like to tell you that, in our opinion, trenchless repairs are a very excellent alternative to traditional repair options. This is because trenchless pipe repairs utilize what is called "no-dig" technology. This allows us to fix your issue without having to do any major digs throughout your yard. People don't really like it when their yard looks like a construction zone.
We use a couple of different techniques when it comes to trenchless pipe repair. We will explain them both below. There are a couple of different issues with traditional sewer pipe repairs. The first is that they generally require a company to take days and days to dig up your yard extensively. The next issue is that they are very expensive. Trenchless repairs are much quicker and much cheaper. We actually can use a small camera to take video and confirm the issues with your sewer pipes before we begin work. We do not have to do any major digging at all. Another benefit is that trenchless repairs will last for years. They save both money and they save time.
Major Trenchless Repair Techniques
We offer a couple of different types of trenchless pipe repair services. The first is pipe bursting this technique works when we essentially pull a new sewer pipe through the old, damaged pipe. As we pull it through, the old pipe "bursts" or fractures. With this method, we only have to dig a couple of very small access holes in your yard. As long as there is enough room to pull a cable through the sewer line, we can even fix collapsed lateral sewer lines with this method.
The other method we use with trenchless repairs is pipe lining. This is when we install a pipe liner that is otherwise known as a "cured in place" pipe. We carefully insert the pipe liner into your damaged pipe. When we do this, we only reduce the diameter of the pipe by 1/4th of an inch. We also eliminate any requirement to do major digging in your yard. Additionally, we save you money because this process is cheaper. The pipe liner is simply a tube of resin that is very flexible. The resin cures within a few hours. One thing to note is that this isn't a good option if your sewer line has joints or if it is a lateral sewer line that has recently collapsed.
